Press Release: Dr. Jason Wei Joins Bridge Point Capital’s Advisory Board

September 12, 2021, Manhattan, New York, New York –Bridge Point Capital (BPC) today formally announced that Chenyang (Jason) Wei has become the latest addition to its Advisory Board.


Jason is currently the Associate Dean of Tsinghua Institute of FinTech Research and the leader of two research centres at Tsinghua PBC School of Finance (PBCSF) - China Insurance and Pension Research Center, and the Center on Global Real Estate Finance. Jason is also responsible for PBCSF’s global partnership initiatives, including policy/industry research collaboration, oversea executive training development, and international conference collaboration.

Jason is the former General Manager of the New York Center and Chief U.S. Economist of Zenity Holdings, a global industrial investment group headquartered in China. Prior to Zenity, he was the Head of Credit Research at American International Group (AIG), reporting to AIG’s Chief Credit Officer with research covering total AUM of $300bn in AIG Investments.


Before joining AIG, he was a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He is also a Research Fellow at the Wharton Financial Institutions Center. He has published in top-tier finance/policy journals in the U.S. and in China as well, including the Review of Financial Studies, Economic Policy Review, Tsinghua Financial Review, and International Financial Review.

In addition, Jason served as the Chairman of the Board of The Chinese Finance Association (TCFA), the largest global association of Chinese finance professionals with 6000+ members worldwide. He also served as President of TCFA from 2014 to 2015.


He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University, a M.S. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. (Finance) from Tsinghua School of Economics and Management.
