GHIC is located in the Tian Di Lin Feng Innovation Park, Yong Tai Zhuang Bei Road, Haidian District, Beijing, neighboring the Global Health Drug Discovery Institute co-founded by the School of Medicine of Tsinghua University and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Asia-Pacific Innovation Center of Boston Scientific. The center is surrounded by scenic parks and accessible by public transportation.


Introduction to GHIC

With the goal of tackling the obstacles that healthcare innovation in China is facing, GHIC was founded by the Institute of Technology Transformation of Tsinghua University. GHIC’s healthcare technology innovation team provides services including project incubation, merger and acquisition, investment sourcing, licensing and promotion, registration and approval, original equipment manufacturing, and independent R&D assistance. The core objective of GHIC is to source and direct integrated global resources to meet the demands for healthcare technology innovation in China.


Relying on its abundant academic resources, ever-evolving scientific and technological achievements, and extensive experience with international cooperation, Tsinghua University has been dedicated to building a healthy ecosystem for the healthcare industry. In 2016, Tsinghua University co-founded the Global Health Drug Discovery Institute with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Meanwhile, the launching of research centers focusing on high-end sectors including Medical Imaging, Brain Science, Health Big Data, and Immunology was determined as an immediate next step. Additionally, Tsinghua University has been working in close cooperation with Washington University, Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Minnesota, University of Pittsburg, and high-tech startups located on the east and west coast of the U.S. With abundant local resources and extensive experience in gathering and sourcing global resources, GHIC is dedicated to providing efficient solutions for facilitating the landing and commercialization of domestic and overseas innovative healthcare technology in China.

3. The Infrastructures that Fulfill the Diversified Needs of the Project Teams


GHIC consists of three floors. The first floor is a central exhibition area, which serves as a

platform for the routine display and promotion of recently landed projects. The second floor consists of 18 independent workspaces that are tailored to the needs of project teams of different sizes. Besides, public conference rooms, discussion rooms and training rooms are also equipped to fulfill the diversified needs of the teams. The basement level is the experimental research area, which consists of 10 storages, 7 laboratories, 3D printing stations, and 2 super-clean laboratories.


As a platform that supports the development of the healthcare industry, GHIC values the physical and mental health of every project team that works here. GHIC is equipped with recreation areas, fitness rooms, meditation rooms, and reading corners to provide the space for project team members to pull back from work and relax.
